Andre Of Ryer , Orientalist French, born with Marcigny in Burgundy towards 1580.

Of Ryer is diplomatic agent with Constantinople and French Consul with Alexandria in Egypt.

He publishes in 1630 a Turkish grammar , in Latin; translated into French Gulistan or the Empire of the Pinks, Saadi , 1634, the the Koran , 1647, and left in manuscript a Dictionnaire Turk-Latin .

He becomes secretary interprets of the king for the Eastern languages after his return in France towards 1630.
