André Morizet (January 23rd 1876 - March 30th 1942) is a socialist politician French.

His/her father was mayor-assistant of Rheims, his grandfather mayor of a borough. Its grandson, François Kosciusko-Morizet, is mayor (various right-hand side, then UMP) of Sevres since 1995, general adviser of the Hauts-de-Seine since 2006, his back-small-girl, Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, is Secretary of State French charged with the Ecologie since June 2007 and its back grandson, Pierre Kosciusko-Morizet, are the founder of the site Priceminister.

This socialist militant, then communist, is elected mayor of Boulogne of the December 19th 1919 with his revocation by the government the July 22nd 1922, but becomes again mayor thereafter, it is during his mandate that the city takes the denomination Boulogne-Billancourt, in 1925. Founding member of the Communist party, it is hostile with the ème condition of Moscow, prohibiting the membership of the freemasonry of which he is member (Grand the East of France). Excluded from the Comintern in January 1923 (with Ludovic-Oscar Frossard, for the same reasons), he resigns of PCF and joined the communist socialist Union until in 1927. In 1928, it again rejoins the SFIO to which it had already adhered in 1895.

Candidate with the National Assembly in 1914 and 1919 under the label of the communist Socialist party, it respectively obtains 8.000 and 12.000 votes. Elected official general adviser in 1925, it resigns two years later, when it is elected senator the January 9th 1927 and is re-elected the January 14th 1936. He is absent the July 10th 1940 at the time of the vote of the full powerss with Philippe Pétain. He is maintained at his post of mayor of Boulogne-Billancourt under the Occupation, until his death in 1942.
