Andre Martel

André Martel (December 13rd 1893 with Toulon - 1976 with Cuers, VAr) is a French writer and poet. It gave itself also the pseudonyms of “Papapafol” and “Martélandre”. He was also regent of the Collège of' Pataphysique.

He was teacher, then professor of letters, like secretary of the meetings of the Academy of the VAr. He very early began, in 1915, a career of most traditional of poet and writer. In 1951, it made appear a poetic opuscule entitled Paralloïdre of Çorfes , first public demonstration of a new language of its invention: the Paralloïdre .

At 60 years, giving up Toulon, its family and all her former life, it settled with Vincennes close to Paris. It passed the remainder of its time there. He became secretary of Jean Dubuffet, which introduced it into the literary circles, then Régent of the Collège of' Pataphysique.
