Andre Lwoff

Andre Michael Lwoff , born the May 8th 1902 with Ainay-the-Castle and dead the September 30th 1994 with Paris, is a researcher in Biologie French.

He receives the Nobel Prize of medicine in 1965, with François Jacob and Jacques Monod, for the discovery of the mechanism used by some Virus (pro-virus) to infect Bactérie S.

In 1962, Lwoff introduces a Taxinomie viruses.
