Andre Lejeune

André Lejeune is a Politician French, member of the Socialist party, born the July 4th 1935 with Ajain (Hollow). Senator of Digs since the September 27th 1998.

Biography

After studies at the university of Clermont-Ferrand, André Lejeune teaches physical sciences during several years with the Pierre-Bourdan college of Guéret.

Engaged in policy, it adheres to the Socialist party unified (PSU) of which he is the federal secretary of 1964 to 1968. It joined then the Socialist party. It is close to Jean-Pierre Chevènement before approaching Henri Emmanuelli.

It is elected city council man of Guéret in 1971, and begins a long career from town councilor: general adviser (1973), first assistant of the mayor of Guéret (1977) and mayor of Guéret in 1978 to replace outgoing Guy Beck. It yields the mandate of mayor in 1998 to its first assistant, Michel Vergnier current deputy and mayor.

Elected official senator of Hollow in 1980, it leaves this seat with the profit of William Chervy, after his election like deputy of Hollow in 1981 at the time of the vague pink . He is constantly re-elected until his defeat vis-a-vis Bernard of Wheat in 1993.
