Andre Isoir
André Isoir is a Organiste French, born with Saint-Dizier the July 20th 1935.
André Isoir accepted with the École César-Franck the teaching of Edouard Souberbielle (class of Orgue) and of Germaine Mounier (class of Piano). With the Conservatory of Paris, he was the pupil of Rolande Falcinelli and gained in 1960 the first prices of organ and improvisation. He gained several international contests of organ: in 1965 with St Albans (Great Britain), and three following years with Haarlem (Netherlands), thus gaining the Price of the Challenge, the only French interpreter to have obtained this distinction since the creation of the contest. It accepted in years 1970 and 1980 of many prices of the disc for its recordings. In 1974, it obtained, for its Variations on a psalm Huguenot , the price of composition of the Amis of the Organ .
It in particular published a recording of the integral of works for organ of Bach, which remains a reference. Its recordings of works of César Franck on the organ of the cathedral of Luçon were also particularly noticed.
