Andre Hodeir
André Hodeir is a Violoniste, Compositeur, Arrangeur and Musicologue French born with Paris in 1921.
Biography
Andre Hodeir type-setter:Founder and director of the Jazz Group of Paris , in 1954, training of nine musicians (of which Bobby Jaspar, Pierre Michelot and Nat Peck). Type-setter of the two Books of Tests (1954 and 1956), of many film musics ( the Ideal Palate for Teenager Kyrou, the Jazz Cantata for the film Falls of stones, danger of dead of Michel Fano, etc). Founder of his own orchestra in the Sixties ( Catalysis , Arte beyond commedia dell' , Transplantation , Twilight with Nelly , etc, made public by the disc of Martial Solal, in 1984). Type-setter, in 1966, of the monumental cantata of jazz Anna Livia Plurabelle , on the text of James Joyce, then in 1972 of Bitter Ending , for Swingle Singers and a quintet of jazz, on the final monolog of Finnegans Wake .
