Andre Harvey (politician)

André Harvey is a politician Québécois.

Biography

Native of Chicoutimi and very well-known in all the Saguenay-Lake-Saint-Jean, André Harvey always took part actively in the development of his area. Whereas he taught with the secondary, he becomes city council man with Chicoutimi in 1981, before making the jump in federal policy in 1984. Married to Lise Market, he is father of two children, and grandfather of two grandchildren.

Federal deputy of Chicoutimi it Fjord of 1984 with 1993 and 1997 with 2004, it is before education adviser with the services with the companies at the School commission of Chicoutimi (1993-1997). André Harvey is parliamentary secretary of the Minister for the Natural resources (2003-2004), secretary of the Minister for the International cooperation (2003) and the Minister for Transport (2001-2003). He is also whip as a chief of the Parti preserving progressist 1997 to 2000.
