Andre Guinebert

André Guinebert is a painter French born with Beaupréau (Maine-et-Loire) the June 22nd 1902 - deceased with Miré (Maine-et-Loire) the July 23rd 1990.

Teacher of formation, André Guinebert started to paint under the direction of Paul Hannaux, then in the free academies of “the Large Thatched cottage” and “Colarossi” and, finally and especially, in company of Christian Caillard which it met in 1940 in Offlag 17A.

Colourist, Andre Guinebert, if it carried out Aquarelle S, Fusain S, Sanguine S, Bois engraved S and dry points to illustrate books, Indian inks, are especially known for his oils with the brush or the knife.
