André Giraud (1925-1997) is a senior official and a French Politician.

Polytechnicien (major of promotion 1944), Mining engineer, it carries out until 1978 a career of high-civil servant to the ministry for Industry and in the national companies.

It directs COGEMA (1976-1978).

Minister of Industry of 1978 to 1981

Minister for the Defense of 1986 to 1988

Professor with the University Paris-Dauphine, it created there the Center of geopolitics of energy and the raw materials (CGEMP) in 1982.
