André Girard is a writer Québécois. (Laterrière, on February 15th, 1953 -) Novelist originating in Saguenay, André Girard worked in the college libraries during 17 years, inter alia with the Université from Quebec in Montreal, where it also made his literary studies. Since 1993, he teaches French and the literature with the Cégep de Chicoutimi.
He is member of the Union of the écrivaines and the Québécois writers (UNEQ), of the PEN Quebec Club and the International association of the Québécois studies (AIEQ).
