Andre Georges Corap
André Georges Corap (January 15th 1878 - August 15th 1953) is a general French of the Second world war, born with Pont-Audemer.
Career

Captain of Zouave S in 1914, it is mainly employed in staff during the First World War, under the orders of Foch then of Pétain.
During the War of Rif, it is distinguished while capturing in 1926 the chief from the insurrectionists, the Cadi Abd-el-Krim.
Ordering the 2nd military division with Amiens since 1937, the Corap general is named with the head of the IX {{E}} Armée in 1940. Charged with defending the Ardennes on the line of the Meuse with insufficient means, it undergoes the opening of Sedan in May 1940. Wrongly held for person in charge of the rupture of the face, it is replaced on May 15th by the general Giraud.
It had not ceased announcing, in vain, the insufficiency as men and material on this face and the vulnerability which resulted from it.
