Andre François Bron de Bailly
Andre François Bron de Bailly , born with Dauphine Vienna in , the November 20th 1757, general French.
It engaged before the 20 years age, in the regiment of the dragons of Artois, where it was called the beautiful Bron . II in 1791 was yet only second lieutenant, became lieutenant in 1792, captain in 1793, major in year II, with the 24e regiment of hunters with horse, then chief of brigade and provisional commander of the 3rd dragons. It was made on the titular battle field ordering 3rd dragons. In Egypt as in Italy, Bron showed intrepid soldier, and the general-in-chief conferred to him the Brigadier general title of . The Bron general, named ordering Legion of honor, was employed successively in 1806, with the Armée with Naples, from which it ordered all the cavalry; in 1807 and 1808 with the large army; in 1810, 1811 and 1812 with the Armed with Spain.
It was made prisoner by the English after having fought valiantly with Artago-Molinos, and did not recover its freedom that with the fall of the Empire in 1814. For this time, the Bron general has constantly remained in the private life. Its name, already engraved on the Large pyramid of Egypt, was registered of office on the Triumphal arch of the Star, southern part.
Died the May 18th 1847, with Batignolles-Heap, the 90 years age.
