Andre Ehrler

Andre Ehrler , born the January 23rd 1900 with Plainpalais and deceased on April 1st 1949 with Carouge, is a politician Suisse member of the Socialist party.

Biography

Teacher, it collaborates in the newspaper the Work where it replaces Leon Nicole after the Fusillade of November 9th, 1932. He is then suspended of his function of teacher.

Entering in policy, he becomes president of the Genevese Socialist party, to advise national 1933 with 1935 and to advise State with the head of the department of hygiene, assistance and Social Security of 1933 with 1936. Returned with teaching, it is again sanctioned for its political activity and is declared ineligible in 1941. Founding member of the Swiss Left Work in 1944, he becomes writer with the Working Voice then is elected city council man in Carouge in 1947.

Impassioned Cinema and of Dance, it takes part in particular as of 1929 in the Friends of new film and publishes in the press of many critical artistic.
