Biography

Normalien, it fights during the First World War (Alsace, face of the East and Greece), becomes tax inspector, deals with those of Indo-China, then principal private secretary of Georges Mandel of 1938 to 1940. Rejoined with de Gaulle who appoints inside it police chief, with Work and Information, then with Finances and the Pensions, then with Finances, the Economy and the Merchant navy in the French National committee (1941-43). In the government of Algiers, he is police chief with the Production and the Trade, then with the Supply and the Production. March 3rd, 1944, he is police chief with the War then, on September 9th, 1944, until November 21st, 1945 becomes Ministre for the War in the Gouvernement Charles de Gaulle (2).

Deputy of the the Vosges to the First constituent National Assembly, it sits then at the Conseil of the Republic of 1948 to 1951. Then, he is appointed of Seine-et-Oise in 1951. He succeeds Jacques Soustelle with the presidency groups RPF of the National Assembly, then chairs the group of the Union of the Republicans of social action (URAS).
