---- Henri Andre Augustin Chapais , known as Andre Deed , born with the Harbor, Seine-Maritime, the February 22nd 1879 and deceased with Paris 12th, the October 4th 1940, is a Acteur, Scénariste and Réalisateur French.

André Deed is one of the most famous comic actors of the Silent film. He began his career, at the beginning of, as acrobat and singer of variety.

In 1901, it launches out in the emergent industry from the cinema while working for its pioneer Georges Méliès. It holds soon the first role in long series of comedies like comic character of “Boireau” in French, and later under the name of “Cretinetti” in Italian, “English Foolshead”, “German Müller”, “Spanish Toribio”, “Portuguese Turíbio”, “Hungarian Lehmann”, “Russian Glupyuskin”, sowing the destruction and chaos everywhere on its steps.
