André Cools (August 1st, 1927 - July 18th, 1991) is a socialist Politician Belgian and a Walloon militant assassinated with Cointe, a district inhabitant of Li2ege.
He was Minister for the Budget of 1968 with 1971, Deputy Prime Minister of 1969 with 1972, president of the Belgian Socialist party of 1973 with 1978, then president of the Socialist party of 1978 with 1981, and chair Walloon Parlement of 1982 1985. It receipt also the honorary title of Minister of state in 1983. It sat during the 47e legislature of the Room of the Representatives of Belgium. At the time of its death, it was burgomaster of Flémalle, commune of the suburbs inhabitant of Li2ege, and Walloon Minister for the local Authorities and subsidized Work.
The scandal of the Affaire Agusta, in which it would have been possibly implied, burst shortly after its death.
