André Burguière is a French historian.

He is anthropological professor of history to EHESS. He gave courses of Histoire to the Polytechnic school.

Its contributions were essential to make profit the historical approach from the benefit of the anthropological step. Its contributions for example as regards history of the body, history of the Health and history of the family Relations contributed largely to the development of “the Histoire of mentalities”, made famous for the more known works of Marc Bloch, Philippe Ariès or Fernand Braudel.
