Andre Boucourechliev (Sofia, Bulgaria the July 28th 1925 - Paris, November 13rd 1997), Type-setter French

He studied the composition in Sofia, then at the teacher training school of music of Paris. Initially with the Musical Field, it worked in Milan then with the Groupe of music research in Paris. It had also an activity of teacher to the conservatory national of Paris (temporary of Olivier Messiaen) and at the university of Aix-en-Provence.

It begin with the composition from several electroacoustic parts. Its work is often characterized by a freedom left to the interpreters have preset sequences, thus obliging with a reciprocal listening ( Archipel 1967 -70, Anarchipel 1970, shades 1970 when they are extracts of the quartets of Beethoven which form material of it). He also worked the voice and his modulations deformed during mixings on magnetic band ( Thrène 1974)

He wrote various works musicologic, in particular on Robert Schumann, Beethoven and Stravinski.
