To its great physique and undeniable qualities speed, he added a great dexterity acquired as of his youth in plays where the play with the foot was prohibited. Moreover, at the time of a friendly match in 1952 with the US Dax (club where there remained a few months, after having begun in its birthplace), he had played 17 years by cotoyant its idol, the Bayonne Jean Dauger, which had proven to him the importance of the role of frontier runner… role which will ensure soon the nickname to him of Créateur of test .

Always at the time of this friendly match of Dax, he is contacted by the Mons Stade, which he joined the following year. As of its first year, it loses a final of championship of France against FC Doors. It then integrates very early the XV of France, with 19 years and half at the time of the tournament of the 5 nations 1954, playing wing three-quarter vis-a-vis the England with its first selection.

At the time of the season 1957 - 58, it is joined by his/her Guy brother in the center of the Mons Stage. With him, it loses a new finale of the Championship of France in 1959 against the Racing club of France. At the time of the beginnings of his/her Guy brother with the XV of France in 1960, it is isolated one year. They will obtain however 16 selections jointly then, until their last selection, always jointly in 1966, cursed year where a master key of Jean Gachassin in André, intercepted victoriously for his country by Welsh Stuart Watkins, definitively excludes the two Boniface brothers from the team of France.

They will have also gained the Bouclier of Brennus - against the US Dax of Pierre Albaladejo - in 1963.

Andre was rather the ascetic, with the irreproachable hygiene of life, always leaving the drives the last. He held trade of articles of sport after his brilliant career on the grounds. Guy as for him devoured the life with full teeth.
