André Blavier (born the October 23rd 1922 with Hodimont - Verviers and dead the June 12th 2001 with Verviers) was a Belgian poet of French, critical expression and scholar. He was satrap Collège of Pataphysique.

Biography

Resulting from a working-class family, André Blavier was marked by his meeting with Raymond Queneau. He was elected with the Oulipo as foreign correspondent in 1961. Communal librarian of Verviers where it had been born, specialist in Rene Magritte - of which it organized in Verviers at the beginning of the Années 1950 an exposure -, founder in 1952 of the review Mixed Temps , André Blavier made discover na5ive painters and of avant-garde, or the painter Maurice Pirenne. Its compilation on the insane arts persons and the eccentrics of the literature is a monument. This work was published first once in 1982 by Veyrier and remained a long time untraceable before its republication, review and increased in 2000 by the editions of Ashes. It wrote in Alexandrin S a Ode with the woman exceeding in length the Chanson of Roland. He was the creator of the Information center Raymond Queneau de Verviers, which became operational in 1976, with died of Queneau. Funny pessimist, Blavier had received in 1977 the Grand Prix of Black Humor for Occupe you of homélies . Walloon convinced, it signed the Manifeste for the Walloon culture in 1983.
