The Large-duke Paul Petrovitch, wire of the famous Catherine II, married to 19 years, widower without children with 21, had come to seek a new wife, the Sophie-Dorothée Princess of Wurtemberg-Montbeliard. Sophie took in Russia the new name of Maria Féodorovna, and became tsarina on November 1st, 1796. She gave to Paul 1st five girls and four boys, of which the future tsars Alexandre 1st and Nicolas. Thus is explained a considerable movement of exchanges maintained by a ceaseless to and from lady's companions, tutors, aide-de-camps, and, of course, courtiers and servants.
Jules Beucler , of old stock montbéliardaise, had been sent in Russia by the Quay of Orsay as French professor to the Military academy of the Juniors by Saint-Petersbourg. He married the girl of the Souvorkoff general there, and it is there, on February 23rd, 1898, which came in the world
André Beucler . His/her father made it at once register with the Embassy of France, but at the same time, by telegram, on the registers of the commune of
Bondeval (department of Doubs), in France, or it decided to make build a family home.
Biography
He was novelist, journalist, scenario writer, producer of radio, essay writer, translator and sometimes historian, critical of Article Écrivain and journalist, André Beucler, born in Saint-Pétersbourg, is one of the witnesses of the exchanges between the two countries.
André Beucler tried to make poetry accessible to all. The " Office of poésie" , created on the initiative of
Paul Gilson, allowed poets young, unknown, initial, to send texts which were read with French Broadcasting by known artists. During 20 years, this emission accepted a few thousands of works.
The writing of Andre Beucler also appeared in the press of the interval wars.
If it made there appear news, it also approaches fields as various as the cinema, the night and its excesses, the music, art; but also outstanding men of this period. It exposes its observations of ground and its reflections political on the Central Europe and more particularly the rise of the Nazism in Germany.
André Beucler did not like the honors. Let us say all the same that it was, like Alexandre Vialatte and Marcel Aymé, prize winner of the Blumenthal foundation, which, in the Twenties, was a very prestigious American purse. He did not escape however the rivet washers from Officer of the Legion of Honor and of Arts and Lettres, but accepted with pleasure in 1981 the Grand Prix of the Company of the Men of letters for the whole of his work.
André Beucler returns regularly in the house of his dreams, in Bondeval (Doubs), to write his more beautiful works. Director of the French team of Universum Film Aktien Gesellshaft (UFA), in Berlin, which wants to create a European cinema. Operations manager in the cabinet of Jean Giraudoux with the police station with information before war, it becomes resistant during the Occupation. Large traveller as of his childhood and with his parents, it knows like few people, the Central Europe.
André Beucler was the privileged friend and, very often the fellow traveller for a whole life of some very high figures of arts and letters. He evoked of them some in four volumes of portraits and memories:

Private life
He married twice continuation (1928-1945) the same woman, the beautiful Natacha, born in Petrograde in 1907 (half-Russian like him), rencontée in France in 1927. They had two wire: Serge and Roland.
