Andorra Televisió

Andorra Televisió (ATV) is the Television channel public general practitioner of the Principality of Andorre.

History of the chain

October 12th 1989, the General advice decides that the radio and television are public services essential and necessary. It then created the ORTA (Organization of Ràdio I Televisió d' Andorra) which is in charge of the direct management of the radio and television. Thus, in December 1990 is born Ràdio Nacional d' Andorra and in 1995 a baptized television channel Andorra Televisió (ATV).

The production of the programs, principalment informative, is entrusted to a private producer of the country until in 1997, where the total responsibility for the programming passes to the ORTA.

ATV is member of UER since 2003 and thus takes part in the contest Eurovision of the song since 2004.

ATV is held at 100% by Ràdio I Televisió d' Andorra, SA (RTVA), concessionary public of the service of Radio-television of the Principality of Andorra, created on April 13rd 2000 to replace the ORTA. Its capital belongs to 100% with the Andorran government.

Program

The programming is mainly centered on information and the magazines, and also on the events in institutional matter like the meetings of the General advice of the Valleys, but the chain diffuses also series, sport and football.

ATV Noticies : the Tv news of ATV. 3 daily editions with 13:45, 21:00 and 23:30.
Club Ice axe : Emission for the youth diffused daily with 7:30 and 17:30.
