Anders Hedberg

Anders Hedberg (born the February 25th 1951 with Örnsköldsvik in Sweden) is a former professional player of Hockey. It was, in company of Ulf Nilsson, one of the first Europeans to have a statute of high-speed motorboat in North America.

Anders Hedberg began in the first Swedish division with MoDo at the sixteen years age, before signing five years later with Djurgården.

It made its beginnings in America for the Jets of Winnipeg of the Worldwide association of hockey in 1974. During the summer 1978, Nilsson and Hedberg signed an agreement with the Rangers of New York of the LNH which was to bring back 2,4 million dollars to them. Hedberg piled up 856 points in 751 matches in North-American professional hockey. It took its retirement in 1985 but is remained active in the medium of hockey.

With the international plan, it represented the Sweden with the championships of the world of 1970,1972,1973 and 1974, gaining a money medal and two of bronze. It also took part in the Coupe Canada in 1976 and 1981.

Since 1997, Hedberg is member of the Temple of famous the of the International federation of hockey.
