Anders Fridén (born the March 25th 1973) is the singer of In Flames and Passenger, and he is musical producer.

In Flames

He joined In Flames in 1995 after having left Dark Tranquility, where he was also singer. At the same time, the singer of In Flames at that time, Mikael Stanne, leaves the group to become singer of Dark Tranquility. Both are still in these groups with their role.

On the first albums, Anders wrote its texts with the assistance of Niklas Sundin, which translated them into English. Later, on Colony and Clayman , he wrote all the texts in Swedish and Sundin translated them into English. Then, Anders knew the English language rather well to write the texts without the assistance of Sundin. Its main themes are very different from other singers in this style. It treats astrology, of imagination but also of depression and problems personal.

On Like Clarity , Anders was the producer for the guitars part and low, in the studio which it has.

Passenger

Anders is the singer of this group. They recorded a CD in 2003, which names Passenger , and left the Clip In Reverse . Since In Flames takes the majority of its time, it cannot be really devoted much to this group. However, a second album would be about to be recorded.

Producer

Anders has a studio, with Gothenburg, in the building even of the famous Fredman studio. It produced some albums for groups like Dimension Zero, Caliban and has by-product some albums with the owner of the Studio Fredman, Fredrik Nordström, of which the album My Arms, Your Hearse by Opeth.

Others

He was the singer and one of the creators of the group Ceremonial Oath at the end of the Eighties, at the beginning of 90. They will make three albums before separating, about 1995.

In 1993, Anders was also the singer of Dark Tranquility on their first album, Skydancer .

He is married in Helena Lindsjö and has two young children.
