Andelu
Andelu is a common department of the Yvelines, in the area Île-de-France, in France, located at approximately 15 km in the south-east of Mantes-the-Pretty.
The inhabitants are called Andelusiens.
The name of Andelu would derive from a Gallic term, andel , junction.

Geography
The commune of Andelu is on the plate of the Mantois. It is bordering on Jumeauville and Maule in north, of Goupillières and Thoiry in the west, of Montainville in the east and Marcq in the south.The village is crossed by the secondary road 45 which leads to Maule in the North-East and Thoiry in south-west. The secondary road 158 starts in the village and carries out, towards the North-West, with Jumeauville and beyond, with Mantes-the-City.
It is an agricultural soil, without relief and trees, dedicated to the cereal field crop.
History
- Of the traces of Gallo-Roman habitat was raised.
