The Master development plan and Town planning of Mans is a project of regrouping of agglomerations, initiated by the city of the Mans between 1967 and 1973. In accordance with the law of Land Orientation of December 1967, this project joins together approximately 25 communes of the Mancelle agglomeration. It is a project other than that of Mans Métropole, since it privileges a broad perish-urbanization and with a great safeguarding of nature. Privileged typology is a heterogeneous regrouping around the city centers. It is a case unique in France. INSEE gathered in this information system strategic plan 225.500 inhabitants in 1999. Two thirds of its credits would work on the city-center. More than one simple document, this diagram is the best alternative at a not very wide urban community (9 communes only), while this SDAU takes the form of a community of agglomeration.
