Anandagiri
Important pupil of Shankara (IXe-Xe centuries). Author of excellent a Biography of its Master where it evokes the philosophical controversies related to the birth of the Advaita vedanta. The gloses of Anandagiri on works of Shankara are invaluable, because they clarify the sometimes ambiguous and contradictory thought of the Master. They also testify to the delaboration high degree to which this form of thought arrived since Gaudapada.
