Anamorphosée

Anamorphosée is the title of the fourth album studio of Mylène Farmer, published the October 17th 1995 (Polydor).

Recorded with Los Angeles, proposing a sound more Rock and accoustic that with the accustomed one, and a Mylène Farmer sexy and luminous ( I giddiness of living ), inspired by the Book Tibetan of the life and dead the of Sogyal Rinpoché (quoted in the thanks), it makes it possible the singer to reconsider the front of the scene after the failure of its film Giorgino .

For much, this album marks a caesura in the career of Mylène, and drive out-crossed fans was so extremely that one speaks “front fans” and “fans after” Anamorphosée . The singer indeed seems to open her artistic universe, to move away from that of Laurent Boutonnat, with whom the relations degraded himself on the turning of Giorgino . Even if it is him which produces and arranges the album, of which it composes eleven of the twelve titles - the last but one ( Tomber 7 times ) being the first composition of Mylène Farmer, - the album is written and recorded with Los Angeles, with a new team of musicians (whose Jeff Dahlgren, main actor of Giorgino ) and Boutonnat do not take any more charges the realization with it with the clips. Lastly, the photographs of the booklet are the work of the photographer Herb Ritts. That of the small pocket represents Mylène without head.

The title of the album is a reference to the Anamorphose, visual effect which distorts an image, so that it is visible only in one mirror. One can for example observe one of them on famous table the Ambassadors of Hans Holbein the Young person.

Five individual is extracted from the album, between September 1995 and November 1996: XXL , moment X , California , As I have badly and Rêver . The album also gives place to a round, the first of the artist since 1989. Among the outstanding titles, in addition to California which remains a popular tube with whole share and whose clip is produced by Abel Ferrara, Rêver became a true symbol, so that the song is interpreted with emotion with each spectacle of the singer from the exit of this album, like at the time of the ceremony of the NRJ Music Awards 2002, after the handing-over of the title of artist of the year, only accompanied by Yvan Cassar with the piano.

The album is rewarded for a Victoire of the Music, as being the French album more exported in 1996. It reaches: 1400000 sales.
