Analytical reading

The analytical reading (or literary comment) is a process of Lecture intended to analyze a text. It is based on the observation of precise indices in order to arrive at an interpretation, with an aim of showing the singularity of the text.

Method

Comprehensive approach

At the time of the comprehensive approach, one is interested:
  • with the Paratexte:
    • title;
    • date;
    • hat;
    • author;
    • reference;
    • typography;
    • page layout.
  • with the Text:
    • kind;
    • form;
    • contained.

Detailed study

The detailed study is to be adapted to each text, one will often be interested in the following points:
  • organization;
  • rate/rhythm;
  • structure;
  • lexicon;
  • grammatical categories;
  • stylistic devices;
  • registers.
  • dialogs
