Analyst (data-processing)
Neighbor of that of the Project manager, the role of the analyst is to study the various manners of implementing a data-processing need within a Information system.
A data-processing need can be:
- a request of a user of the IF, generally with an aim of improving ergonomics or the performance of IF;
- the installation of a new functionality of the IF;
- the integration of constraint external with the IF (regulation);
- correction of a failure of the IF.
role of the analyst
- to evaluate the feasibility of the need;
- to determine the impacts on the IF;
- to propose various solutions;
- to carry out the selected solution (or to coordinate its realization by a Programmer);
- to take care of the good integration with the IF of the evolution requested.
Trades
According to the stage of the project where intervenes the analyst and the range of his role, the analyst will be described of Systems analyst, technical Analyste or Systems analyst, each one of his functions having a clean role within the project. These various roles can be exerted by only one person or distinct people, according to the context.
