the September 8th 1303, a French delegation carried out by Guillaume de Nogaret and accompanied by the Colonna, invests the apartment of the pope Boniface VIII which is souffleté in the dispute, is released with the hands of French, and dies a few days later : this event is often called the Attentat of Anagni .
