Anaal Nathrakh
Anaal Nathrakh is a group of Black Metal - very influenced by the other artists like Mayhem, Burzum, Darkthrone - formed in 1999 with Birmingham in England (ENG). It is one of the groups most violent and extreme on the international scene. Anaal Nathrakh was initially expressed on subjects such as the Nihilisme or the total devastation of the human being, then thereafter on more apocalyptic subjects. However, one cannot be completely sure ideology of the group since the words were never published.
The name Anaal Nathrakh is borrowed from the magic formula " Anál nathrach, orth' bhais' S bethad, C chel denmha " pronounced by Merlin in film of John Boorman, Excalibur (1981). " Anál nathrach " mean in Ancien Irish " the breath of the snake ".
Descriptions
The style of the group evolves/moves from a point of view of massive destruction. Containing ultra violence, of hatred and a voice " sulfureusement vomitive" , the English formation builds its apocalyptic music by not épargant anything nor nobody. The group had begun in a very traditional style, rather near to the True Black Metal. However, since their album Dominates Not Es Dignus left in 2004, the group decided to mix the styles, in particular the Grindcore on the level of the song and the Death Metal on the level of the fronts. They do not hesitate to also take again the principles of the industrial Metal such as the programmed battery or the use of the samples. Certain fans think that the group invented its own kind, the Necro Metal.
The group also dissociates itself from the visual point of view of the other group of Black Metal. They get dressed in a simple way, without make-up and in T-shirt, contrary to the groups of Black which generally prefer to adopt a style " Néo-Médiéval" and a make-up called Corpse Paint.
Ideology
The words being never published, it is difficult to speak about the ideology of Anaal Nathrakh. One can however interpret the titles of the songs. The majority seem to speak about the Apocalypse ( The Necrogeddon ), of the nature of mortality and the Misanthropie ( Human, All Too Fucking Human , I Wish I Could Vomit Blood One You… … People ). The group is also inspired by the Philosophie Nihilisme of Friedrich Nietzsche, visible with the songs such as Revaluation off all Values , " Bellum Omnium Countered Omnes" (formula borrowed from the philosopher, and who means " the war of all against tous").
