Amygdaloside

The amygdaloside is a Oligoside, it is present in bitter almonds and the and fishing, cherry-stones Abricot. The hydrolysis partial of the amygdaloside and the oxidation of one of the liberalized products give the laetrile, which one claimed that it had anti-cancer properties. There does not exist any scientific proof of this activity and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the American equivalent of an Agency of the drug and hygiene of the food, forever authorized its use (to be noted: in France the National institute of Health concluded afterwards from the medical investigations to the inefficiency of the laetrile).
