Amsterdam Stock Exchange

The purse of Berlage ( Beurs van Berlage ) is one of the large monuments of architecture Dutchwoman of the 20th century. It is a beautiful brick building builds of 1898 to 1903. It is the first great ordering of an architect then still unknown, Hendrik Petrus Berlage: this project makes it immediately famous in the whole world. 141 meters length, the building is set up on part of the river Amstel which accommodated the tradind ships formerly and which one had just drained, this building was intended to lodge all the stock exchange transactions. The Museum of the Stock Exchange of Berlage opened its doors in 2003 making it possible part of this building to be permanently open to the public. It is also the seat of the Dutch orchestra philarmonic.
