Amrish Puri
Amrish Puri (June 22nd 1932 - January 12th 2005) is an especially famous Indian actor for his roles of malicious.
Career
After its studies, Amrish Puri decides, on the councils of its older brother Madan Puri (itself actor) to launch out in an artistic career. Its first tests with Bollywood in 1954 will not convince the producers. It is satisfied then with the theater and records advertizing jingles for the radio.
It is only starting from 1971, during an other test in the studios of Bollywood that Amrish Puri is finally success in the film Reshna aur Shera of Sunil Dutt. But it is especially in 1981 with the role of Duryodhan, cynical character and méprisable of the film Hum Paanch which it makes feeling. The malicious one of Bollywood was born. Its famous extends out of India and Amrish Puri will turn in two American productions: Gandhi of Richard Attenborough in 1982 and Indiana Jones and the cursed temple of Steven Spielberg in 1983 where he interprets the large sanguinary priest Mola RAM. It is not confined only with the roles of malicious: its role of intransigent father but in the large heart in Dilwale Dulhania Jayenge will remain one of its roles more succeeded.
It will practically turn until its death by leaving an impressive catalog of films although tardily begun. He dies at the hospital Hinduja of Mumbai on January 12th, 2005 following a Brain hemorrhage.
