Amir Khusrau
Abu-l Hassan Yamīn Al-Dīn Khusrow ( ابوالحسنیمینالدینخسرو , Hindi: अबुलहसनयमीनुददीनख़ुसरो) (1253 - 1325), more known under the name of Amir Khosrow Dehlevi , Amir Khusro Dehlavi or Amir Khusraw Balkhi in Afghanistan and Iran (in Persan اميرخسرودهلوى Amīr Khusraū Dehlavī , in Russian: АмирХосровДехлеви ), is one of the iconic figures of the cultural history of the Indian Sous-continent. Mystical soufi and spiritual disciple of Nizamuddin Auliya of Delhi, Amir Khusro (or Khusrau) is not only one of largest the poets of India, it is also regarded as the founder as well of the Classical music of Hindoustan as of the Qawwalî (sacred music of the soufis). " The traditional musical tradition of Pakistan goes back to the poet and musician of the 13th century Amir Khusrau, which composed very first the Râga S, the rhythmic form traditionnelle." The invention of the Indian Tablâ is usually allotted to Amir Khusrau.
Amir Khusrau, a proud Turk of Hindoustan (" Turk-e-Hindustani"), was born from a Turkish father, Saif AD-Dīn Mahmoud, which was one of the chiefs of the tribe Lachin (" Falcon kestrel " in Turco-Mongolian) of the Qara Khitaï of Kush, in Transoxiane and of a mother Râjput (Rawal), in India. His/her grandfather bore the name of Turk.
