Amin Maalouf

Amin Maalouf (Arab: rear RTL أمينمعلوف maʿlūf) is a writer free - Lebanon board born the February 25th 1949 close to Beirut.

He marries Andrée, a teacher for deaf children, with which he has three children: Ruchdi, Tarek and Ziad.

Journalist in the Arabic daily newspaper An Nahar , it covers in particular the catch of Saigon. Seeing the atrocities of the Guerre of Lebanon it is exiled with Paris in 1976 where it becomes Editor association of Jeune Afrique . From now on it is devoted entirely to the writing.

Novels

a merchant génois, installed in the East, share in the search of a mythical book which is supposed to reveal the hidden name of God, still known as " the hundredth nom".
