Orlando is an American city, chief town of the county of Orange, in Florida. It counts today 205.648 inhabitants and 1.800.000 people resident in her agglomeration according to estimates of 2004 carried out by the office of census. It is the sixth town of Florida, and the first located inside the grounds of the State.
It is especially known for its complex of leisures Disneyworld created by the Walt Disney Company in 1971, as for the Universal Orlando Resort (1991). One also finds in the city a largest SeaWorld and Mac Donald's of the world. The center of the east city in the course of restoration, with the creation of a new park with topic, Gatorland. Geography
Orlando is located at 28°32' 1" North, 81°22' 33" West. According to the Office of Census, the city has a surface of 261,5 km ² (242,2 km ² of grounds, 19,3 km ² of water, are 7,39% of the total).
Orlando does not have a rival with regard to the number of lakes located in its urban surface, put aside the Twin Cities (Mineapolis and Saint Paul). One counts there indeed more than the 100 lakes, largest being the Lac S Apopka, Eustis, Griffin, Harney, Harris, Jesup, Monroe, Sand Lake, Conway, and Tohopekaliga.
With regard to its climate, it is similar to that of the remainder of the Péninsule of Florida: heat and wet all the year with sometimes of the cold days in Winter. The year is divided into two seasons of about equal durations.
