Amherstburg (Ontario)
Amherstburg is a Ville in the Comté of Essex of the Canadian province of Ontario. It is located close to the mouth of the Rivière Strait. Its population is of 21.748 inhabitants.
A strong British soldier was established with the site of the city in 1796, and a civil city developed around him. During the time of the clandestine Railroad, Amherstburg was often the point of arrival in Canada for the Esclaves Afro-américains.
