American rock\'n\'roll
The the United States of America are the cradle of the Rock' roll and the history of the American rock'n'roll often merges with the general history of the rock'n'roll. Indeed from many kinds and innovations there were born and developed before influencing the other countries in particular the United Kingdom and the other European countries.

The grunge appears with American groups like Alice in Chains, Mudhoney and Soundgarden but exceeds the local phenomenon only with the success of Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
Pop-punk Californian
The scene Californian Punk is not success with groups like Blink 182, Offspring, Green Day or Yellowcard; initiated by groups such as NOFX or Bad Religion since the middle of the Eighties.
Néo metal
Limp Bizkit and KoЯn is the groups of American néo-metal having had the most important business successes
The years 2000
Years 2000 are remembered by a return of the rock'n'roll garage with groups like the White Stripes and The Strokes. A revival years 1980 is also perceptible with business successes of groups like The Killers.
