American Psychoanalytic Association
The American Psychoanalytic Association gathers forty companies of Psychanalyse and counts more than three thousand members.
History
Ernest Jones founds the APsaA in 1911. It is currently the most important member of IPA.
Regional association
The companies members of the APsaA are indirectly affliées with the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA), whose APsaA is the only company according to this operation.APsaA counts five groups of studies, twenty-nine institutes - sitting in more the American big cities -; like four companies, which they are not directly ratachées in APsaA but with the IPA according to the standard model: the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies, The New York Freudian Society, as well as the Psychoanalytic Center off California.
