American McGee\' S Alice
American McGee' S Alice is a play of action developed by Rogue Entertainment, published by Electronic Arts, and of the name of the originator of video game American McGee. It left on October 6th, 2000 concerned video to the the United States and the 15 December the same year to Europe.
American McGee' S Alice uses the driving graph of Quake 3, the Quake III engine. The jouability is close to plays like Tomb Raider or Prince off Persia: sands of time, but environment is very different.
The play is a free adaptation, hallucinated and bloody, of Alice to the Country of the Wonders , of Lewis Carroll. Environment, in a nightmarish style leaving free course to the fertile imagination of the designers, is regarded as one of the strong points of the play by certain players. Characters, designed by Norman Felche, and the decorations, contribute to give to the universe play a rare artistic quality for a video game.
According to a maintenance of the magazine Sci-Fi Wire , the realizer Wes Craven planned in 2001 to adapt the video game to the cinema, in synthesized images. The project was however abandoned in 2003 because, of the dires of Wes Craven, none the scripts presented to the studio of production, Dimension Films , had been accepted.
A new evolution, the film could be finally turned, the first role would be played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, which would have already signed for film. The film would be carried out by Marcus Nispel, the man behind the remake of Massacre to the slicer .
