American Coaster Enthusiasts

American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) is an American association with not-lucrative goal which gathers impassioned Russian Montagnes ( roller coasters ). It takes part in particular in the safeguarding of Russian mountains old or threatened of closing. Its members often organize voyages and meetings in amusement parks throughout the world; these meetings are sometimes sponsored by the parks them-even.

History

ACE was founded in 1977 by Paul Greenwald, Roy Brashears and Richard Munch. At the beginning, it had like only goals, of the meetings of enthusiasts for big thrills and participation in " Russian marathons of mountains ". A marathon was held in 1977 on the Rebel Yell of Kings Dominion in Virginia to promote the exit of the film the toboggan of dead the ( Rollercoaster ) of James Goldstone with George Segal, Henry Fonda, Richard Widmark and the any young person Helen Hunt. August 1st

Other associations of impassioned Russian mountains and amusement parks exist in the Anglo-Saxon Monde and in particular the European Coaster Club with the the United Kingdom which publishes the magazine First Drop .

An association also exists in France since 2002, the first French-speaking association of this type in Europe: Parks Passion. The latter publishes a quarterly review of 24 pages in colors and black & white
