American Apparel
American Apparel is an American company of Textile based with Los Angeles (California, the United States).
The mark has nearly 155 stores in 11 countries. It with the characteristic to manufacture all its products in its factory of Los Angeles, refusing the recourse to the Sweatshop. Its Vêtement S all is labelled besides " Made in downtown Los Angeles ". The employees are paid on average US$13 of the hour and profit from a certain number of welfare benefits.

Environmental policy
Currently, approximately 20% of the cotton used by American Apparel are of origin bio. Within four year, this proportion should pass to 80%. The company recycles its own waste. American Apparel also installed on the roof of its factory of the suburbs of Los Angeles a solar collector of 146 supposed kw to allow the reduction of its invoice of electricity of 20%.
