With the the United States one calls administration the federal capacity. This one is divided into departments. The persons in charge of the various departments, called secretaries , are named by the president and persons in charge in front of him only. There thus does not exist collegial structure of the secretaries : this is why one does not speak about government.

It is thus a designation of the executive power of the White House in the press articles.

There exist fifteen government departments:

• State Department ( U.S. Department off State ), in charge of the foreign politics;

• Department of Defense ( U.S. Department off Defense );
• Department of the Justice of the United States ( U.S. Department off Justice ), directed by the '' Attorney General '' of the United States;
• Department of the Interior ( U.S. Department off the Interior );
• Department of Agriculture ( U.S. Department off Agriculture );
• Department the Commercial ( U.S. Department off Trade );
• Department of Work ( U.S. Department off Labor );
• Department of Housing and the urban Development ( U.S. Department off Housing and Urban Development );
• Department of Transport ( U.S. Department off Transportation );
• Department of Energy ( U.S. Department off Energy );
• Department of Health and the Social services ( U.S. Department off Health and Human Services );
• Department of Education ( U.S. Department off Education );
• Department of the Veterans ( U.S. Department off Veterans Affairs );
• Department of the Internal security ( U.S. Department off Homeland Security ).

Among the governmental administrations also count:

• the National Aeronautics and Space Administration known under its Abbreviation NASA , person in charge of the space program;
• the Farm Security Administration (FSA);
• the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA .
• the Agency of the United States for international expansion or USAID .
