Biography
Amel Brahim-Djelloul began its musical training by the study from the violin. It begins the song with Algiers, its birthplace, in the class of Abdelhamid Belferouni. He entrusts then the roles to him of Valletto and Amore in the new production of the Crowning of Poppée which he directs to the Théâtre of the Fields-Elysées, then with the Deutsche Staatsoper UDL of Berlin and with the Currency of Brussels put in scene by David Mc Vicar.
Amel Brahim-Djelloul takes part then in the Garden of the Voices of William Christie with which it occurs on the most prestigious scenes of the world such as the Cité of the Music in Paris, the Barbican of London, the Grand Theater of Geneva, the Large Auditorium of Madrid or the Lincoln Center of New York. Noticed during this round, it is then invited by the National Symphony Orchestra of Washington for the Messiah of Hændel. It makes its beginnings with the International festival of Lyric art of Aix-en-Provence in July 2005 in a new production of Clemenza di Tito (Servilia).
The continuation of its career leads Amel Brahim-Djelloul to approach several important roles such as Susanne in Nozze di Figaro with the Opéra of Angers-Nantes then to the Opéra of Lausanne, Despina in Così fan tutte with the Opéra of Nice, Adina in Elisir d' Amore with the Opéra of Avignon or the title role of Veronique of Messenger to the Théâtre of Châtelet in Paris. One can also hear it in the Crowning of Poppée to the Grand Theater of Geneva, or in the new production of Pelléas and Mélisande directed by Bernard Haitink with the Théâtre of the Fields-Elysées. It is also invited by orchestras such as the Orchestre Pasdeloup, the National orchestra of France or the National orchestra of Ile-de-France. Moreover, it takes part in events intended to make discover the classical music with the general public such as the Festival Violin on the Sand organized each summer on the beaches of Royan in front of: 40000 spectators per concert. Particularly appreciated for the quality of its voice, the rich and shone upon color of its stamp, Amel Brahim-Djelloul occurs regularly in recital, thus in April 2006 with the Opéra of Lille and in June 2006 with the Festival of Saint-Denis.
