Ambrogio Lorenzetti
Ambrogio Lorenzetti (His, about 1290 - His, June 9th, 1348) is a painter of Byzantine style of the Sienan school noted as from 1317 until its death due to the Black Death.
It is probably formed with the workshop of Duccio di Buoninsegna like his older brother Pietro Lorenzetti and Simone Martini
It leaves to Florence where it is documented in 1321 and in 1327, registered with the Arte dei Medici E Speziali, and where it receives many orders.
Simone Martino left to Avignon, in 1336, to obtain more easily from the orders, Ambrogio is again documented with His in 1337 and 1340 for the payment of work to the Dôme of His and the Palazzo Pubblico where it paints famous the Fresque S of the Effets of the good and the bad government , painted as from 1338 in the Room of the Last nines, out of three walls. Ambrogio controls the prospect in its landscapes and is also a famous cartographer ( revolving map of the world destroyed at the 18th century).
