Ambierle is a common French, located in the department of the the Loire and the area the Rhone-Alps.

History

Its history merges with that of a founded Abbaye with the Top Moyen-âge by Bénédictin S, then reduced in Prieuré and attached to the Ordre of Cluny at the 10th century.

  • the Priory of Ambierle, originally a Benedictine abbey, was rebuilt at the 15th century by the Prieur Antoine de Balzac d' Entragues. It presents a roof of glazed polychrome tiles of Burgundian style, splendid stalls out of carved wooden, a retable of the passion of the 15th century and stained glasses also of the 15th century.
  • the village has also a Musée of the rural daily life of 1840 with 1940.
