Ambassador plenipotentiary

A ambassador plenipotentiary is the accredited representative of a foreign power near an other which does not enjoy the row of Ambassadeur. It is called in theory Mister (or Madam) the minister .

In France, the body of the ambassador plenipotentiaries is a body of Fonctionnaire S concerning Ministry for Foreign Affairs and pertaining to the diplomatic corps. Many ambassador plenipotentiaries is named with functions ambassador: they are ambassador (extraordinary and plenipotentiary) of France in… (and not ambassador of France , this title being a dignity conferred on very a small number of ambassador plenipotentiaries).
